Electrical Project Manager Portugal – Data Centre Project Our client is a specialist data centre contractor delivering full turnkey solutions across Europe, providing services from design through to construction across civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical and commissioning disciplines. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join the project team on a major data centre development in Portugal. This is a site-based role with overall responsibility for the management and delivery of the electrical works from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.
The successful candidate will lead electrical delivery on site, managing subcontractors, coordinating with internal teams and consultants, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.
• Take full responsibility for the delivery of the electrical scope on the project
• Manage electrical subcontractors, suppliers and specialist vendors
• Act as the primary point of contact for all electrical matters with the client, consultants and internal teams
• Coordinate electrical works with CSA, mechanical and commissioning teams
• Oversee design coordination, technical submissions, RFIs and change management
• Manage programme, progress reporting and risk mitigation
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and relevant standards
• Lead testing, commissioning, snagging and handover activities
• Control project costs, variations, valuations and forecasting in conjunction with the commercial team
• Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Senior Electrical Manager on large-scale M&E projects
• Strong background in electrical building services contracting
• Data centre experience strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
• Strong commercial awareness and programme management capability
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel and project planning tools
• Right to work in Portugal (Portuguese language skills beneficial but not essential)
